Cádiar is an hour and half from both Almeria & Granada airports, and two and half hours from Malaga all have great services from many of the buget airlines.
Easy journey from Almeria (1.5 hours) or Malaga (2.5 hours) take the N340 coastal road. Near La Rabita turn inland onto the C333 towards Albuñol,(40 minutes from here). Shortly after the town of Albuñol,take sharp right to Albondón & Cádiar. On entering the village of Cádiar you will pass a petrol station on your left and a restaurant "La Ruta" on your right.
From Granada Airport (1.5 hours) leave the airport following Granada signs (white signs for Granada & Sante Fe) stay on the dual carriage way (not the motorway) until you reach Granada (approx 15 mins) take the N323 Motorway towards Motril. Stay on this motorway until it ends and keep straight on, after the dam turn left for La Alpujarras, cross the bridge and go straight on towards Órgiva. Stay on this road until it ends (approx 40km) turn left at the T junction towards Cádiar. On entering the village of Cádiar you will pass a petrol station on your left and a restaurant "La Ruta" on your right.

There is ample parking in the village.
There are many viewing points for spectators, suggested places to watch the race are the relay points, San Roque Village square in Narila and the football pitch in Cádiar (near the river bed).
The climate in the Alpujarras is very temerate, especially in the spring time, warm sunny days and cooler evenings, there a lots of things to do if you wish to stay a little longer, exploring the mountains, horseriding, mountain biking and much more.

Cádiar has several popular restaurants that are all praised for the quality and variety of local dishes. One of the local specialties is the Alpujarrañean platter, this comprises of fried eggs, sauté potatoes, cured ham, black pudding and spicy sausage.
At the entrance to the village, there is the La Ruta restaurant, a short distance from this
(in the direction of Berchules) there are three more options, La Para de la Suerte, Mesón Frasco Ramon and La Ramblilla, (family owned establishments).
In the middle of the village there is the Cadi pub on Avenida de Andalucia and the Bar Albahaca in Calle Pedro Antonio de Alarcón. In the Town Hall square there is the Bar Parada and close by on Calle San Isidro the Music Bar plus Bar central.
In addition 2 km from the village there is the well respected Alquería de Morayma hotel, a local 2 star hotel set in 48 hectares of open countryside with stunning views.
This village maintains the traditional of free tapa when you order a beer or a glass of wine and most of the establishments are open for breakfast, lunch, snacks and supper.
